Safety and Security

The Learning Curve Security and Safety. Unmatched, unrivaled, unequaled.

Security Camera Access

“The safety and security of the children is of utmost priority at TLC. We loved having the cameras in the infants, 1s and 2s room to check on both boys. Especially after our initial experience with Cruz, it was of great comfort to be able to have the ability to frequently monitor his daily activities. Even my mother, who lives in Alabama, frequently observed the boys through the cameras and was able to feel close to them even so far away.”

The Learning Curve has been a pioneer in the use of technology in child care facilities. TLC takes the safety and security of each child to a higher level than available at other facilities. In 2004 TLC was the first child care facility in the United States to use biometric fingerprint technology as our door security. The Learning Curve has once again raised the bar in security now utilizing the Sign Hear biometric signature reader. SignHear dynamic signature verification (DSV) by Alaris, is a biometric technology that verifies identity by analyzing the unique sound patterns created by an individual’s written signature. From the Alaris Website:

November 2010 – Child care center that prides itself on being the first child care center in the U.S. to use biometrics, now switches from fingerprint biometrics to Alaris SignHear technology

Alaris SignHear technology is selected as a better security biometric by The Learning Curve, a tech savvy, early adopter that affirms their lead position as the first child care center in the U.S. to use fingerprint biometrics to safeguard child access. The Learning Curve is justifiably proud of its advanced use of technology to both safeguard the child assets entrusted to their care and to provide best practice electronic convenience to parents. The Alaris SignHear signature authentication as deployed in child care applications works in sync with other high tech components at The Learning Curve including biometric activated door strikes, internet viewable cameras and electronic instant parent alert. The Learning Center can also display both parent specific and broadcast messaging to parents on the Alaris SignHear kiosk, making center administration to parent communication both convenient and discreet.

Internet Cameras and CCTV

Security Camera Access

TLC has offered Internet viewable cameras (web cams) since 2004. All classrooms at TLC are recorded and backed up on our CCTV system. This system also allows select classrooms to be available for parental viewing from home, work or smart-phone via a secure user name and password. You can watch your infant, one year old or two year old engage in activities and interact with friends and teachers in real time and in full color.
